TEKchand LLC today announced the release of its next-generation version
of the ATMRewards Software Platform, a web-based content development, management,
and delivery system for multi-vendor ATMs. The new version introduces two
key features to the base product: 1) an integrated content distribution
system; and 2) CRM components for ATM Personalization, targeted marketing,
and two-way interactive messaging at the ATM.
ATMRewards Software Platform, Version 1.0, introduced in 2000, provided
banks and ATM processors with a cost-effective solution for managing screen
and receipt content changes on ATMs.
The Hardware and software changes at the ATM are not needed to implement
the solution because the application interfaces with the ATM Switch, instead
of with the ATM. The advantage of a switch-based solution is that marketing
messages are changed in real-time on the entire ATM portfolio.
The platform is able to manage and deliver advertising content for multi-vendor
OS/2 and Windows-based ATMs through a single unified web interface. ATM
OS and vendor-specific differences are managed behind the scenes. With
usability as the core focus, non-IT users are able to design, model, and
promote content instantly. For banks and processors this is a high-value
proposition over the current costly multi-vendor/multi-platform mix of
delivering the same content. "ATM marketing can be extended to the
entire ATM portfolio, and handled from within the confines of where it
naturally occurs, the marketing department," according to Rajeev
Bahri, Managing Director of TEKchand.
The new version builds on the initial product success by integrating a
file distribution system to the platform. TEKchand provides an agent that
is installed on TCP/IP ATMs to enable graphic file distribution. The web
interface offers a suite of features, including future content scheduling,
and ATM content preview.
CRM components are another major feature of the new release. CRM modules
include a customer marketing database, data collection engine to collect
customer information at the ATM, a content management system to support
real-time and auto-updating content, a rule base scripting engine for
one-to-one targeted content based on Card Numbers and Transaction Types,
and an ATM Personalization Module to personalize the ATM experience for
language, fast cash, and receipt preference. The application can also
connect to any external CRM database for content. Banks can use the application
on their entire ATM portfolio to offer targeted coupons and provide up-to-date,
high value information, such as daily updated bank CD rates. Banks can
interact with customers at the ATM to obtain valuable feedback or to obtain
callback numbers, if customers are interested in learning more about particular
bank products.
EFunds Corporation, a TEKchand customer, demonstrated the product from
November 16 - 19 at BAI's Retail Delivery Conference & Expo in Las
